How often do you listen to others’ opinions and follow what they think you should do? Instead of listening to your own inner voice, and following your inner wisdom?
I remember there was a time before my hermit life when I always followed the crowd and went with the flow of the people around me.
I was a super agreeable person. The phrase “personal boundaries” was non-existent in my world. I was the good girl who followed what everyone said.
I was under the impression that if I agreed with people, if I followed whatever, I will always fit in wherever I go.
Internally, I knew that I was accepted but never truly fitting in.
After I was ostracised during my teenage days, I was so afraid of being rejected again. I constantly worry if what I said and do is acceptable, and whether people understood what I said. This further drowned out my inner voice.
As I started my spiritual awakening, a whole new world was opened up to me… I remembered feeling the longing for my inner voice to be expressed. The voice I’ve neglected for so long.
To be honest, my inner voice has been drowned out for so long that I’ve forgotten it’s there. Sure there are times when it shows up but I was never consciously aware of it.
Being consciously aware of my inner voice led me to a path I didn’t know I had the courage to take. Putting myself as a brand of my business. It was exhilarating creating a path for myself that seems rebellious to the people around me.
Listening to my inner voice led me on a journey of uncovering my true self, creating a business where I do my soul work, simply by living as and being myself.
I’m so glad that I’ve started listening to my inner voice more now as I’ve never felt more bliss, free and wild as an adult.
I’ve never felt more at ease in my own body, I’ve never felt so much gratitude for my body.
That’s something I never thought I would feel unless I slim down, but my body hasn’t changed much.
I didn’t think that I could experience so much freedom and so few worries starting a business from scratch again. (I’ve run a business with my husband for a few years now and it’s nothing short of stressful.)
Taking aligned actions listening to my inner wisdom, and then surrendering to the universe is the best feeling ever. (I’m imagining myself as a persian cat right now)
I’m sharing this with you because I want you to realise that I WAS YOU. I used to be where you are now.
I used to doubt myself, not listening to my inner voice, and letting others tell me what is best for me.
I was finally awakened to the truth that my inner voice knows me best.
I was ready to LIVE MY LIFE. I was ready to BE FREE. And I was ready to stop letting others make decisions for me.
I was ready to serve others and help them remember the brilliance inside them.
Trust me when I say that your inner voice knows you best, deep down at your core. IT IS YOU.
Your inner voice is the voice of your soul, of your true self.
The self-expression, the voice that arises from your inner wisdom.
It is not the same as the mind’s voice which often protects us from the unfamiliar, through fears and doubts.
Our inner voice leads us to our growth, expansion and evolution. 🧬
Often it is not clear as we’ve been so used to external voices. How can you create space to hear your own inner voice?
Are you able to listen to your inner voice even if it leads you to a path less taken? Knowing that it’ll lead you on a journey of inner freedom?
I know starting and running a business is not easy. But it can be make easier by trusting your inner voice, take align actions and surrendering to the universe.
