Here’s my theory about the quantum and our consciousness, between death and life.
We know we’re conscious beings on earth.
We know that the quantum is a field of light, energies that contains information, and data, across time and space.
So I was contemplating on our consciousness and what happened to our consciousness after death, before birth.
My theory is that…
At the point of death, both our conscious and unconscious parts (including all the information and data stored within our body) merged back into the quantum field. We became a part of the quantum, without consciousness. We became everything and nothing at the same time. We are everything because we are one with the quantum field where all the information exists. We are nothing because we are no one, at nowhere.
When the conditions align, i.e. the state in which our parents are in, their circumstances, the environment etc., our consciousness is transferred (or downloaded) from the quantum into the body of the baby we were.
In Nichiren Buddhism, this is taught by Daisaku Ikeda in his book “Unlocking the mysteries of life and death” as “...the Buddhist view is that not only the spermatozoon and ovum but also life itself – in the state of intermediate existence and with karma that matches the conditions of conception, heredity, family and social conditions into which the life will be born – are each necessary for human life to come into being and develop. Conception results from the union of all three.”
Going another level deeper, our consciousness at the time of birth is a combination of parts of different consciousness, also called lifetimes. This makes me think that those who believe in both past lives and those who don’t, are both right. If we are a combination of the information of lives in that past, past lives do make sense. But when we talk about the quantum point of view, there is only the eternal now. So those who don’t believe in past lives are right too.
After all, there is no absolute right and wrong.
I’m sure I’m not the first to think about it this way. It’s so fascinating, isn’t it?
(Most of my contemplation comes from what Dr. Joe Dispenza shared in his book “Becoming Supernatural” and Nichiren Daishonin’s teachings from Soka Gakkai International.)
